Homeschool Art Foundations 10-12 pm
12-week session starting on 9/14, book all 12 classes or come when you can, suitable for ages 8-13
Service Description
Help your child build a strong artistic foundation while discovering the joy of creating! This 12-week art series introduces students to the Elements and Principles of Art through engaging, hands-on projects designed to develop creativity, confidence, and technical skills. Throughout the series, students will explore concepts such as color theory, drawing from observation, texture, perspective, sculpture, printmaking, character design, abstract art, functional art, and more. Rather than simply making crafts, each lesson teaches artistic techniques and creative problem-solving while allowing students to create unique works of art they can be proud of. Every class features a different project inspired by the week's lesson, so students can join individual classes or save by enrolling in the full series. While the projects change throughout the year, the focus remains on building foundational art skills that students can use for years to come. Students will have opportunities to work with a variety of materials and mediums, including painting, drawing, mixed media, collage, sculpture, printmaking, watercolor, and more. Recommended for ages 8–13. No previous art experience is required, just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to learn! Our recommended age is based on attention span and the ability to follow multi-step instructions. Weekly attendance is encouraged to gain the full benefit of the curriculum, but each class is designed to stand on its own, making it easy to join at any point. Liability Waiver: I am voluntarily enrolling in this class offering and by doing so, I hereby release Nakama Studio and any and all of it's representatives, management and employees from all liability, claims, damages, costs or expenses incurred or in anyway connected with my participation in this class.
