Service Description

Join us for a night of laughter and learning as Amber teaches the art of sourdough bread! With over 8 years of experience in sourdough breadmaking, Amber is passionate about making sourdough simple and approachable for real life. As a busy mom of four, she has found a practical way to provide her family with preservative-free, more nutritious, and budget-friendly homemade bread, and she’s excited to share her process with you! In this Beginner Sourdough Workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of creating beautiful, delicious sourdough bread, even if you’ve never baked bread before. This class is B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Bowl!) Please bring a small to medium mixing bowl (plastic, metal, wood — whatever you have!) so you can safely transport your dough home to bake. During this hands-on workshop, we will walk step-by-step through: • Measuring ingredients properly • How to maintain a healthy sourdough starter • Creative ways to use extra sourdough discard • How to assemble and shape a loaf of bread • The art of developing structure in your dough • What fermentation is and how to tell when your loaf is ready • Baking techniques (with and without a Dutch oven) Each participant will receive: Their own active sourdough starter A tea towel Simple take-home instructions and tips This workshop is perfect for beginners, home bakers, busy parents, and anyone who has always wanted to try sourdough, but felt intimidated to start. Come enjoy a cozy, creative time at the studio while learning a timeless skill, and yes, your house will smell AMAZING when you bake your loaf! Liability Waiver: I am voluntarily enrolling in this class offering and by doing so, I hereby release Nakama Studio and any and all of it's representatives, management and employees from all liability, claims, damages, costs or expenses incurred or in anyway connected with my participation in this class. I understand that the waiver includes, but is not limited to, all injuries to me and or loss or injuries to any personal property. I also understand that this waiver includes, but is not limited to, any claims that are based on my alleged negligence or any other action or inaction of any of the above parties. Photo Release: All photos taken at our studio, will be used only for advertising purposes to showcase what our studio offers. If you are not comfortable with a photo being taken of yourself or your children for this purpose, then please inform Nakama Studio upon arrival.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation & Refund Policy If we are required to cancel a class due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or a family emergency, all registered participants will receive a full refund. If a class must be canceled due to weather-related circumstances, we will offer a rescheduled date. Because weather is beyond our control, refunds will not be issued for weather-related cancellations. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled class, a class credit will be issued and may be used toward a future class. If a participant registers for a class and later finds they are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you contact us as soon as possible to let us know. This helps us plan accordingly and offer spots to other families when possible.
